Victims of Covid, we were advised not to go out, and as the idea of creating a book had been in the back of my mind for some time, I set about this “heavy” job. I didn’t want to scatter images around without first finding a common theme. I searched and came up with the idea of presenting nature on several levels. I started with the montane, then the subalpine, the alpine and finally the nival at over 4,000 meters. For each level, we’ll see nature and its hosts evolve with the seasons.
I’ve selected images of landscapes, flowers and animals. 300 pages to tell the story of my journey to altitude, 400 photographs and 90 species have been included in this book.
